Prayer and Liturgy is an important part of life at St. Joseph’s. The children have a range of experiences of Prayer and Liturgy provided, reflecting in silence, joining in community prayer with confidence and singing readily.
Our Prayer Leaders, alongside our Mini Vinnies and teachers plan and prepare Prayer and Liturgy through their classes. Children take on increasing responsibility of this as they get older. The children take on these liturgical ministries willingly and are involved in evaluating the quality of prayer and liturgy they have planned.
Our Mini Vinnies and Prayer Leaders went to ‘The Little Sister’s of the Poor’ care home to share Prayer and Liturgy with the residents.
We recognise the importance of Prayer and Liturgy shared at home with our families. During advent the children take turns taking home our travelling Nativity and during Lent the Easter Mystery. This enables our families to pray together and children to reflect and share their experiences back in school.
