Pupil Leaders |
At St Josephs we have lots of opportunities for children to develop as leaders. We encourage the children to embrace the opportunities offered to them so that they can develop their skills whilst contributing to the development of our school.
We have school pupil leaders, responsible of monitoring projects around our school.
Restorative Champions
Smile Squad
Prayer Leaders
Eco Warriors
Playground Monitors
Our Play Monitors play an important role in the playground. They promote happy play times by leading games, acting as buddies and organising play equipment.
School Council
Each class from Year 3 to Year 6 has 2 representatives who make up the school council.
They represent the views of all pupils to improve our school in aspects of learning and teaching. To also tackle any bullying and anti social behaviour and to develop healthy and safer lifestyles.
The school council helps our children gain confidence and develop responsibility and make the most of their abilities with a structured opportunity to learn problem solving skills
It provides a platform for other children to voice their opinions and act accordingly upon them.
It gives the pupils an experience of speaking and listening skills and a responsibility towards the school community and environment.
Prefects
We have 8 school prefects.
They are responsible for various things around school.
This includes helping out in parents’ evenings, providing fruit for classes, supporting teachers and students in classrooms and collecting DOJO points.
House Captains
We have 4 House Captains and 4 Vice Captains.
